For more information on Vets With A Mission ongoing work in Vietnam today please go to our Humanitarian website at www.vetswithamission.org Here volunteer Rachel Foster of Houlton ME, a Pharmacy Tech now in Pharmacy School, prepares to carry an elderly woman upstairs to one of VWAM’s examining physicians at Loc Vinh Health Commune in the village of Loch Vinh, Hue Thua Thien Province. Rachel was one of twenty-eight medical/health and non-medical/health volunteers who served on the July 14-30 charity team. Almost half of the volunteers were Vietnam vets with most returning to the country for their first time since the war. The medical team saw 1,500+ patients over seven days, and details about the team effort can be viewed at the “ Vets With A Mission ” link. |
