| POPPY STEMWEDEL ROCKLEDGE -- Poppy Stemwedel, 76, of Rockledge, Florida passed away in her sleep on Monday, January 27, 2003. 
Survived by loving sons, Rob Merritt of Minnesota, John Merritt of Canaveral Groves,
and Michael Stemwedel of Merritt Island; step-daughter, Renee Stemwedel of South Dakota; sister, Sheila Barrett of Washington; and
grandchildren, Brittany, Mike, Joe, Matt and Adam. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Stemwedel, also of Rockeldge.
Poppy was born in Montreal, Canada and had an exciting and adventurous life including living in New York, Minnesota, Thailand, Laos, Texas and finally Florida for30 years.
She worked part time as a model and was active as a lead performer in several community theaters in Minnesota. After retiring to Rockledge, Poppy and Jerry were active members of the
golfing community and had many good friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 31st, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
Memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Association.
